He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Nichols and Neoma Nichols; his siblings, Hilmer, Donald Nichols, Annie Ruth Lecompte, Sybil Hart and Bobbie Jo Walters; and his stepchildren, Marcus Stricklin, Sandra Kendrick and William Henry Stricklin.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Nichols; his sister Mae Frank Davis of Ozark, AL.; and his children, Terry Nichols (Cathy), Sherry Stegmiller (Bill), Jerry Nichols (Pamela), Kerry, Barry Nichols (Regina), Barbara, Wanda Bacorn (Ron), Nathan and Kelli Nichols. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
