It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Mair of Coden, Alabama, born in Mobile, Alabama, who passed away on October 22, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Mair and Margaret Brown Cassidy Mair; his siblings, Margaret Brown Mair Watson, Robert Mair and Alexander Mair, Jr.; his siblings-in-law, John T. Watson and Shirley Super Mair; and his great-nephew Evan Watson.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah K. Godwin Mair; his children, Elizabeth Daphne Mair Edwards (Boyd) and Brian Alexander Mair (Jessica) of Lucas, TX.; his grandchildren, Caroline Mair, William "Davis" Mair, Alexandra Edwards and Mason Edwards; his niece Lynn Witherspoon (Charles) of Foley, AL; his nephews, Tom Watson of Foley, AL and Davis Watson of Newberry, FL.; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Charles Witherspoon (Chelsea) of Lewisville, NC, John Witherspoon (Faith) of Franklin, NC, Alexander Watson of Newberry, FL, Bellamy Watson of Foley, AL, Ashley Wyatt of Foley, AL and Elizabeth Watson of Newberry, FL..
