With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melville Gilmer Parker of Coatopa, Alabama, born in Selma, Alabama, who passed away on February 7, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nannie Cynthia Gilmer and Robert Stewart Parker of Coatopa, Alabama.; and his sister Robbie Cynthia Parker Jones. He is survived by: his son John Stewart Parker of Dallas; his wife Fay Hutto Parker of Starkville; and his brothers, William David Parker (Myra) of Plano and Marion Edward (Burma) of Alpharetta, Georgia.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and two first cousins.
