He was predeceased by: his parent Rufus Leroy; his former wife Bobbie James South; and his siblings, Ruth Reblitz, Bonnie Shirey and Alvin South.
He is survived by: his parent Lola May Hughes South; his wife Amy Pearline Holmes South; his sons, Danny South (Robbie) and Mike South (Pam); his stepson Danny Holmes (Deborah); his grandchildren, Brad South (Missy), Lori Stout (Rob), Alice Alexander (Jeremy) and Kelly South (Dustin Sherfield); and his great grandchildren, Glavin Alexander, Jaylin Alexander, Ethan Stout, Collin Sherfield and Addison Alexander.
