He was predeceased by: his parent Ernest Ray Gilliam, Sr.; and his sister Maria Frick. He is survived by: his parent Helen Mae Wicker Gilliam; his wife Mary Copeland Gilliam; his children, Stacy Gilliam Baucom (Brian) of Columbia, Kristen Reece of Joanna and Alex Gilliam (Bethany Parker) of Clinton; his siblings, Larry Gilliam of Irmo and Linda Gilliam (Sammie) of Newberry; and his grandchildren, Callie Baucom, James Gilliam, Jackson Reece and Landon Gilliam.
