He was predeceased by: his parent Benjamin Hess; and his daughter Paula Hess. He is survived by: his parent Dexter Mae Quinton Hess; his stepchildren, Monty Folsom (Ann) of Truckee, CA, Cheryl Ann Martin (Don) of Gray Court, SC and Elsa Lee Barela (Dan) of Arvada, CO; and his siblings, Ronald Hess (Yvonne) of Kingston, GA, Arlen Hess (Mary Ann) of Atlanta, GA, Lyle Hess (Valerie), Glenn Hess (Joyce) of Cutter, OH, Nolan Hess (Johnny) of Pineville, LA and Helene Coleman (Johnny) of Rome, GA. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchild.
