He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Claud Young and Blondell Alexander Young; and his stepmother Pearlie Blakely Young. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Young (April); his children, Susan Darby (David), Ralph Young Jr. (Regina), Ann Latham (Terry), Pam Freeman (Nathan) and Amanda Ashley (Aaron); and his siblings, Betty Davis and Bill Young. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many more extended family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund & Park Avenue Baptist Church Youth Group.
