She was predeceased by: her parents, James Gilliland and Estelle "Vinyard" Gilliland; and her husbands, James Pettit and John Hyde. She is survived by: her children, Tammy "Justice" Scott (Randy) and Mark Christopher Pettit; her grandchildren, Michael Justice (Kristi) and Alisha Sloan (Ray); and her great grandchildren, Liam and Marielle Justice.

The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Green's Chapel Cemetery, 34712 State Highway 79, Cleveland, Alabama 35049.
