She was predeceased by: her parents, Buford Aaron and Stella Mae Whitaker Guthrie; her husband Fred Morton; her siblings, Linda Brown, Betty Marie Holmes and Dwight Guthrie; and her nephew David Holmes.
She is survived by: her children, Frank Edward Morton (Christy), Grady C. Morton, Mary L. Gulledge and Dean Johnson; and her nieces and nephews, Janet Riggs, Terri Brown, Tim and Steven Holmes. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
