He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett O'neal Cox and Bennie Frank Hurst; his son Ben Cox; and his sister-in-law Yvonne Wood. He is survived by: his wife Betty McLure Cox; his son Rev. Bob Cox (Emily) of Texasville, Alabama; his siblings, Luther Dean Cox (Mirlyn) of Mobile, Jimmy Wood of Eufaula, Alabama and Linda Adams (Toby) of Eufaula, Alabama; his grandchildren, Shellie of Texasville, Alabama and Molly Cox of Texasville, Alabama; and his nephews, Joshua Adams, Jared Luke Wood Adams, Shane McLure, Kenny McLure, Marcus Cox and Dustin Wood. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
