With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ludie Virginia Helms of Clayton, Alabama, who passed away on February 8, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Berry Parmer and Gusta Irene Shirah Parmer; her husband Ralph Colbert Helms; her sisters, Minnie Syler and Shirley Campbell; and her grandson Hunter Helms.
She is survived by: her children, Jane Langan (Marty) of Luling, Louisiana and Randy Helms (Lisa) of Pike Road, Alabama; her sisters, Jeweleen Rudd of Rome and Katie Palmer (Jim) of Montgomery, Alabama; her grandchildren, Erin Thompson (Bryton), Leah Langan (Rachel) and Hayden Glaze (Will); her great grandchildren, Kirby, William Glaze, Everett Thompson and Bobbie Langan-King; her sister-in-law Gloria Helms; and her nephews, Kerry Palmer, Jim Syler, David Helms, Cody Helms, John Helms and Anthony Helms. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Clayton Baptist Church.
