Mr. Francis Mears, age 84, a resident of the Clayton, Alabama, died Monday, November 23, 2020 at Crowne Health Care in Eufaula, Alabama.
Mr. Mears was born on February 5, 1936 in Amoret, Missouri the son of John Mears and Helen Alene Ford Mears. Mr. Mears was a funny, lovable, and intelligent man that loved and adored his grandchildren. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching Nascar and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 56 years, Jean Marie Welch Mears; son, Steven Paul Mears; daughter, Kathy Jo Mears Marceau; 2 brothers, Clyde Mears and Robert Mears and sister Dawn Camp.
Survivors include: daughter, Susan Mears Meier (Peter) of Pine Island, FL; 2 sons, Dennis Mears (Jean Marie) of Ft. Myers, Florida and Kelly Mears of Clayton, Alabama; brother, Terry Mears, Farmington, New Mexico; sister Reba Snavely (Fred) of Joplin, Missouri. 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
