He is survived by: his children, Pamela Jo McCarter (Jeffrey) of Owensboro, KY and Rollins Benefield (Pam) of Clayhatchee, AL; his grandchildren, Britney Carmona (Chelis) of Owensboro, KY, Justin McCarter (Amber) of Bowling Green, KY, Hunter McCarter (Adrianna) of Evansville, IN, Trevor Benefield (Kaitlin) of Ozark, AL, Hayley Robbins of Enterprise, AL and Hunter Cumbie (Marissa) of Clayhatchee, AL; his siblings, Patricia Arrington of Clayhatchee, AL and Jerry Benefield (Patricia) of Wicksburg, AL; and his sisters-in-law, Shelby Benefield and Myra Benefield.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Calendar Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory (1301 Neal Metcalf Rd, Enterprise, AL 36330). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM.
