He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ganous and Bernice Ellis Ganous; and his siblings, Ricky Ganous, Sam Thomley, Charles Thomley, Tim Thomley and Debbie Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Margie Ganous of Clayhatchee; his children, Gregg Ganous of Kings Mountain, NC, Gerald Ganous of Enterprise and Lisa Summerfield (Terry) of Mount Holly, NC; his grandchildren, Gregory Ganous, Cameron Ganous, Gabe Ganous, Jordan Chapman, Jared Chapman and Jessica Lambert; and his great grandchildren, Ava, Mia, Anna Kate, Cooper Claire, Jolie Claire and Girl Dixie.
