He is survived by: his wife Ann M. Patterson of Ashland; his sons, Wendell Patterson (Jana) and Alan Patterson (Cindy) of Ashland, One; his sister Patricia McCormick of Lineville, Four; his grandchildren, Jacob, Josh, Jeb and Cole Patterson; his great grandchild Maci Pope; and his nieces, April Butler and Amber Mathew.
