He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Jewel Melton and Dorothy Virginia Caldwell Melton. He is survived by: his wife Betty E. Melton of Wadley; his children, Ann Melton of Wadley, Lynn Sherrer (Kim) of Oxford and Jody Melton (Crystal) of Wadley; his brother Edward Melton (Pat) of Wadley; his grandchildren, Melanie Leanne Moon, Dylan Elisha Moon, Hannah Blair Shaddix, Shannon Faith Moon, William Sebastian Melton, Zoe Virginia Melton and Anna Brooke; and his great grandchildren, Isabella Grace Shaddix, Lola Rose Moon, Parker Camden Shaddix, Lexi Charlotte Shaddix and Audrey Jaylene Moon.
