It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard Shirey of Clay, Alabama, who passed away on September 20, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Leonard Shirey and Grace Adell Hendon Shirey; his wife Sara Lou Shirey; and his siblings, Ruth Smith, Troy Shirey, George Shirey, Sr. and Jack Shirey.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Hallman (Tommy) of Coleta Valley, Robert Shirey (Camron) of Coleta Valley, Ricky Shirey (Rita) of Chandler Springs, Roger Shirey (Trisha) of Ashland and Alvin Shirey (Shelly) of Chandler Springs; his sisters, Kathleen Burkhalter (Melvin) of Ashland and Debra Evans of Coleta Valley; and his close friend Billy Wayne Harvell. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren.
