She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Eugene Ray and Odessa Jett Ray; her husbands, John Winford McCain and Nelson Hunter; and her siblings, Jettie Ruth Alford, J. L. Ray and Pete Ray.
She is survived by: her sons, Joe Ray (Charlotte), John Wayne McCain (Pat) of Roanoke and Owen McCain (Elna) of Hattiesburg, MS. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
