He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Walter Hackett and Merle Kathleen Hackett. He is survived by: his son Brandon Walter Hackett; his grandchildren, Timothy Brad Walter Hackett, Tiernan Pardue and Aela Grace Hackett; and his fiancée Cindy Lou Burcham.
