He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Ellison and Sophia Mae Ellison; and his siblings, Luman Ellison, Stevie Ellison and Pamela Ellison.

He is survived by: his wife Lila Ellison; his children, Roxanne Meche (Lance) and Daniel Ellison (Kelly); his grandchildren, Kelson Lenior (Will), Cohen Ellison, Anna Meche, Faith Meche, Sadie Ellison, Jase Meche and Nathan Ellison; and his sisters, Michelle Ward (James) and Ann Taylor Ellison.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Temple Assembly of God Church (2428 Co Rd 85, Clanton, AL 35046). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Temple Assembly of God (2428 Co Rd 85, Clanton, AL 35046).
