He was predeceased by: his parents, Sie Coggins and Janie Coggins; his wife Judy Darlene Coggins; and his sister Dian Coggins. He is survived by: his pet Ozzy; his son Roger Lynn Coggins, Jr. (Rachel Rena) of Clanton; his grandsons, Sheldon Lynn Coggins of Clanton, Conner David Coggins of Clanton and Logan Roger Coggins of Clanton; his brother Rondal Wayne Coggins of Clanton; and his close friend Linda Brasher of Clanton.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home Chapel (1709 Lay Dam Rd, Clanton, AL 35046). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Shiloh Baptist Cemetery (4206 Co Rd 16, Clanton, AL 35045).
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Funeral Expenses.
