He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Eugene Gilliland and Melda Mae Gilliland; his grandsons, Connor Gilliland and Mason Gilliland; and his sisters, Shirley J. Gilliland and Mary Elizabeth Lavergne.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy J Gilliland; his sons, William Ray Gilliland (Mary J.), Richard Lamar Gilliland (Charlotte) and Robert Gil Gilliland (Christine); his grandchildren, Nora Moss (Levi), Brewer L. Gilliland (Alyssa), Tanner D. Gilliland (Courtney) and Beau Gilliland; his great grandchildren, Dawson Moss and Ansley Jane Moss; and his brother Randall Gilliland (Shirley). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Martin Funeral Home Chapel (1300 4th Ave N, Clanton, AL 35046). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
