Loretta Cooedy Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Loretta Cooedy of Clanton, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 21, 2024 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Loretta Cooedy to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Fate Lockhart and Minnie Rhodes Lockhart Haddox; her husband Willie "Buddy" L. Cooedy; her son Bobby Cooedy; and her siblings, Gene Lockhart, James Lockhart, Richard Lockhart and Emily Lockhart Easterling.

She is survived by: her children, Allen Cooedy (Sandy), Johnny Cooedy (Betty), Susan Cooedy Hayden (Dave) of Clanton and Steven Cooedy (Richard Bennett) of Birmingham. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Highland Baptist Church (3405 Co Rd 75, Clanton, AL 35045). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 at the Highland Baptist Cemetery (3405 Co Rd 75, Clanton, AL 35045).
