He was predeceased by: his parents, Louie Vines and Willodean Ellison Vines; and his siblings, Roger Dale Vines, JoAnn Roper and Louie Douglas Vines.

He is survived by: his son Kevin Vines of Jemison; and his siblings, Ray Vines of Clanton, Sandy Henley (Gene) of Clanton and Debra Billingsley (Butch) of Vestavia.
