He was predeceased by: his parents, George Underwood and Elouise Mims Underwood; his sisters, Edna Hill and Gloria Underwood; his great grandchild Selena Henderson; and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Underwood, Gregory Jackson and Henry Walker, Sr..

He is survived by: his daughter Kara Henderson; his grandchildren, Eric, Alexis, Bryan Henderson, Yjohneasha, Yjohnea, Tahlea, Vahlea, Angelo, Kiara and Tiara Tipton; his siblings, Beulah Walker, Dora Sims (Ira), Martha Jordan (Robert), Linda Jackson, George, Darryl and Jimmy Underwood; his brother-in-law Lewis Hill; and his close friend Arthur Thomas.
