He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Mims and Lucile Blackwell Mims. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Mims of Clanton; his children, Tyler Mims (Brittney) of Greenville, SC and Kimberly Boartfield (Lee) of Clanton; his grandchildren, Grace Mims, Jaxson Boartfield, Bruce Mims, Jude Boartfield and Brooks Mims; and his siblings, Donny Mims (Dot) of Wetumpka, Dianne Trahan (John) of Calera and Mary Sue Porter (Ronnie) of Clanton.
