He was predeceased by: his parents, Riley Adams and Victoria Adams; and his siblings, Melvin Adams, Luther Adams, Erskin Adams, Edgar Adams, Curtis Adams and Lorene Kelley.

He is survived by: his wife Joann Adams; and his children, Vickie Hicks (Terry), Lou Ann Hicks (Billy), Sue Ann Traywick, Tina Vickers (Kevin) and Derrick Adams (Mandi). He is also survived by Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
