She was predeceased by: her husband Erskin Carroll; and her parents, Johnny William Short and Leila Weldon Short Nelson. She is survived by: her children, Sharron Diorio (John) of Birmingham, Brenda Lawrence (Dan) of Demopolis, Terry Carroll (Cathy) of Clanton, AL and Tommy Carroll (Cindy) of Gulf Shores, AL; her brother Melton Short (Linda); and her stepbrother Wayne Nelson (Jean). She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren; 19 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Great Great-Grandchildren.
