He was predeceased by: his parents, Eligie Gore and Ellin Victoria Lawrence Gore; his son Robert Gore; his siblings, Millie Coreen Gentry (Charlie), Virginia Ruth Cleckley (Simion), Roy Hugh Gore (Ruth), Curtis Hoover Gore (Josephine), Thomas Earl Gore (Winnie Mae) and Rondal Gore (Denise); his grandparents, Albert, Theodosia Cox Gore, Race M. and Camelia McGee Lawrence; and his stepmother Estelle Gore Glenn.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy McCraw Gore; and his sister Becky Burkett.
