She was predeceased by: her husband John William "J. W." Hattenstein; her parents, Dee Newburn and Floyd Newburn; her sons, Rodney Hattenstein and Mark Hattenstein; her grandparents, Susie and Will Underwood; her parents-in-law, Ollis and Amelia Hattenstein; her brother Hugh; and her sister-in-law Virginia Suggs.

She is survived by: her children, Mike Hattenstein and Pam Croley (Mike); and her grandchildren, Kristin Hall (Mac), Taylor Hattenstein (Mahaley), Katie Hatteinstein, Scott Croley (Amy), Craig Croley (Kelly), Josh Hattenstein (Scarlet), Brian Hattenstein, Ashley Smith (Levi) and Tabitha Beech (Ray). She is also survived by twenty-eight great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
