He was predeceased by: his wife Sharon Kay Weaver. He is survived by: his children, David Leon Weaver, Jr., Miriam Renee Taylor, Shyra LaNore Carroll and Brandon Percy Weaver; his siblings, Betty Byrd, Jewellene Glenn, James Weaver and Ralph Sullivan; and his friend Willie Wilson Taylor, Jr..
