It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clifford Wayne Carter (Citronelle, Alabama), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on November 30, 2021, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Edna Wiley, Clarence Nelson, Charles Nelson, Bernice Carter, Viola Spears and Richard Carter.
He is survived by: his fiancée Dorothy Maness (DeeDee); his son David Betts-Carter; his grandson Jossiah Betts-Carter; his stepson Ronnell Lewis; his aunt Scarlas Willams (Sweetie); his brothers, Barney Carter (Linda Carter), Vincent Landau-Carter (Jennifer Landau-Carter) and Kenneth Carter (Angela Skanes-Carter); and his cousins, Gloria Jean (Globot) of Washington, Annie Marie Spears (Tootsie), Shirley Jones, Robert Williams, Georgia Mae Dockery and Levon Gable. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and a host of friends.
