She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur James and Bessie Mitchell Smith; her husband Hilton "Buddy" Baxter; her brother David Smith; and her pets, Princess, Blackie, Shelby and Trigger.
She is survived by: her daughters, Judy Denmark and Jane Turner; her grandchildren, John McNair (Kristie), Jared McNair (Lisa), Joshua McNair and Catelin Reed (Dennis); her sister Dottie McClurg (Jim); and her pets, Holly, Bubba, Sassy and Dolly. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Georgetown-Chunchula United Methodist Church (9775 Chunchula Georgetown Rd, Chunchula, AL 36521). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at the Pine Crest Cemetery Pine Crest Cemetery.
