He was predeceased by: his parents, John Frank Hix and Amanda Ruth Steverson Hix; and his daughter Karen Davis. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hix of Childersburg; his daughters, Faye Butts (Marc), Kaye Jones (Allen) and Amy Cockrell; his son-in-law Edward L. Davis; his grandchild Thirteen; and his son Dr. Alex Pope. He is also survived by Thirteen Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made the First United Methodist Church, Childersburg 603 4th Street SW Childersburg, AL 35044 or to the charity of one's choice.
