He was predeceased by: his son Samuel Wade Barefield; and his siblings, Vallie Mae Larkin, Felix McGhee, Bobby McGhee, Amanda McGhee, Margarette McGhee and Obie McGhee.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Williams McGhee; his grandsons, Samuel Wade Mullins and Jacob Orion Polk (Asia); his great grandchild Antonio Wade Mullins; his grandsons, Jaiden, A'nyla, Dominic, Braylen and Diamond Polk; his sister Silister McGhee of Rumulus, MI; and his siblings-in-law, Willie J. Williams (Mary), Billy Ray Powell, Juril Logan, Mary Bellamy, Anna Carlisle (Bobby), Nyline Coleman (Larry), Margret Williams and Gwendolyn Williams. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
