He is survived by: his children, Jacob "Jake" Pennington (Jonika) of Fayetteville, Alabama, Austin Pennington (Brittany) of Sylacauga, Alabama, Shannisty Alarcon (Cole) of Childersburg, Alabama and Savannah Wilson (Will) of Sylacauga, Alabama; and his brother Adam Pennington (Cindy) of Talladega, Alabama. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren and his 2 great grandchildren.
