She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Maddox and Eunice Maddox of Childersburg; her granddaughter Kasey Meeks Burpee; and her siblings, Charles Allen Maddox (Frances), Lynese Dobbs (Donald), Billy Maddox (Linda) and Linda Jinks (Harold).

She is survived by: her friend Billy Joe Meeks (BJ) of Childersburg; her daughter Wendy Meeks Burpee (Jerry) of Madison, AL; her granddaughter Bailey Anne Burpee; her daughter Michele Meeks Brakefield (Paul) of Lincoln, AL; her stepgranddaughter Shelby Jean Brakefield; her siblings, Don Maddox, Sandy Giddens (Mike) and Michael Maddox (Sharon); and her sister-in-law Sharon S. Maddox. She is also survived by many friends including neighbors of 60 years and 17 nieces and nephews.
