With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Delores Blackerby (Childersburg, Alabama), who passed away on November 10, 2024 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Bill" Travis and Geraldine Travis; and her husband ROnald Blackerby. She is survived by: her children, Jason Blackerby (Jennifer) and Tracey CUmmings (Steven); her grandchildren, Lauren Andersen (Harold), Jessica Terrell (Luke), Kayla Wood, Hannah Blackerby, Kym Wood, Corey CUmmings and Makayla Thomas; her great grandchildren, Tarkin Andersen and Abbey Terrell; and her brother Bill Travis (Maureen).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Curtis and Son Funeral Home, Childersburg Chapel (1099 1st St NW, Childersburg, AL 35044). The lying in state was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (904 3rd St NW, Childersburg, AL 35044). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
