He is survived by: his wife Wanda Johnson; his mother Nova Jean Johnson; his daughters, Jenifer Johnson and Hope Johnson; his sister Donna Mayes (Ralph); his mother-in-law Nell Murphy; and his brother-in-law Mark Murphy (Tracy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
