With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Julia Ann Sledge of Cherokee, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 20, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Velma Malone Smith and Leon Elvin Smith; her parents-in-law, Mamie and Grady Sledge; her stepdaughter Terri Sledge Terry; her brother Jimmy Leon; and her sister-in-law Betty Fuller Smith.
She is survived by: her sons, Randall Lee Sledge and Thomas E. Sledge; her daughter-in-law Kimberly Davis Sledge; her grandchildren, Zachary Thomas Sledge, Jeremy Ivey, Michael Ivey and Julia Elisabeth Oliver (Justin); her great grandchildren, Logan Thomas Sledge, Taylor Anne Sledge and Thomas Ivey; and her nephews, Rodney Lee Smith (Kesli), Jimmy Wayne Smith, Dylan Lee Smith and Jaxon Wayne Smith. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Morrison Funeral Home - Cherokee (10865 US-72, Cherokee, AL 35616). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
