He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Elton and Lula Ann Carmack Smith; and his siblings, Junior Smith, Kenneth Smith, Howard Smith, Verdie Owens and Virginia "Red" Whitfield.
He is survived by: his wife Lenora Alice Smith of Winfield; his children, Brenda Weston (David) of Beaverton, Thomas Joe "Joey" Smith of Winfield and Kenneth Darrell "Kenny" Smith of Millry; his siblings, Velma Estridge (John) of Double Springs, Barbara Moody (Dale) of Phil Campbell, Raburn Smith and Jimmy Carmack; and his grandchildren, Tia, Skylor, Josh, Kirk, Dustin, Selena, Tenaya Smith, Bridgette Ware and Amber Edwards. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
