She was predeceased by: her husband Cecil Dowdy; her son Cecil Dowdy, Jr.; her parents, Mack Minor and Alice Minor; and her siblings, James, Mack Jr., Earlen, Kirk Minor, Teresa Minor, Effie George, Carrie Patrick, Evelyne Marconi, Florene Raper and Virgie Christine Pickle.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharron Sparks (Anthony), Mitzi Dowdy and Patsy White; her daughter-in-law Carol Dowdy; her brother Kenneth Minor; her grandchildren, Jordan Sparks, Justin Sparks (Melissa), Cassidy Dowdy Vowels (Lonnie), Kimberley Dowdy and Anthony White (Beverly); and her great grandchildren, Finnick, Lily Sparks, Mia, Mason Sparks, Jess, Jake White and Savannah Fulcher. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Barton Cemetery Fund.
