In loving memory of William Troy Mitchell of Chelsea, Alabama, born in Ashland, Alabama, who departed this world on May 8, 2024 at the age of 85. William Troy leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid William Troy farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For William Troy is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He is survived by: his wife LaJune Carter Mitchell; his children, Timothy Mitchell (Julia) of Longmeadow, MA and Tanya Hardin (John) of Madison, Alabama; and his grandchildren, Ford Mitchell, Katy Hardin, Emory Claire Mitchell, Sarah Hardin and Langdon Mitchell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Bruno Cancer Center, a department of Ascension St. Vincent's Birmingham.
