It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Russell Dean Harper of Chelsea, Alabama, born in Charleston, Missouri, who passed away on May 18, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Joy Cranick Harper; his parents, Thurman Harper and Florence Hicks Harper; and his siblings, Louise, Helen and Claude.

He is survived by: his sons, Michael D. Harper (Frances) and Stephen D. Harper (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Brian, Brandon (Leslie), Hunter (Kelsey), Hayden, Holden, Hudson and Hope; his great grandchildren, Molly, Anna and Holly; and his brother Howard Harper (Kay).

The family requests that memorial gifts be made to the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association.
