He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Daniel, Onnie Turman, Robert and Alice Armstrong; his father Edgar J. Smith; and his brother Stanley Smith.
He is survived by: his mother Marlene Smith; his sisters, Linda Howard (Dennis) and Carolyn Crawford; and his sister-in-law Delphia Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
