It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dewey Clayton Duncan of Chelsea, Alabama, who passed away on March 26, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Farris Duncan and Eunice Duncan. He is survived by: his wife Marty; his daughters, Penny Fox of Columbiana, Nicki Richard of Chelsea, Kelly Rasco (Brian) of Chelsea and Wendy Spain (Daniel) of Alabaster; his great grandchildren, Thomas, Emma Lynn, Annabelle Phillips, Rosemary, James and Abigail Sherman; his cousin Lester Crane (Nancy); his niece Kim Donaldson; his nephews, Darrell Garrett, Milton, Russell and Alan Duncan; and his pets, Izzy and Sylvester. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Southern Heritage Funeral Home (475 Cahaba Valley Rd, Pelham, AL 35124). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 1:15 PM at the Alabama National Cemetery (3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115).
