He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles H. Cooper and Agnes Cooper; his wife Wanda Faye Chafin; his siblings, Norman Chafin, Charles "Pete" Chafin, Gladys Gilley and Ellen Beech; and his great grandchild Kanden Chafin.
He is survived by: his sons, Charles Chafin (Kimberly) and Phillip Chafin (Gwen); his sister Ella Jane Dees; his grandchildren, Josh Chafin, Ethan Chafin, Chris Mizell, Mathew Chafin and Mollie Sanderson (Patrick); and his great grandchildren, Joshua Chafin, Easton Chafin and Gracelyn Sanderson. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Reynolds Holiness Church (21571 AL-17, Chatom, AL 36518). A burial was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at the Reynolds Holiness Church Cemetery (21571 AL-17, Chatom, AL 36518).
