He was predeceased by: his parents, Sime Morris, Sr. and Odessa Giles Morris; his wife Nell Beech Morris; and his siblings, Marvin Morris, Sime Morris, Jr., Milton Morris, Dewitt Morris, Curtis Morris and Lucille Morris Broadhead.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Morris Phillips (Eddie), Gregory Paul Morris (Sherry) and Suzanne Morris Carpenter (Shane); his siblings, Odell Morris (Diane), Vera Nell Morris Goldman and Maxine Morris James; his sister-in-law Myrtice Morris; his grandchildren, Crystal Phillips Hayes (Heath), Brandon Phillips (Heather), Amy Morris, Matthew Morris (Ashley), Tyler Dykes (Hannah) and Taylor Carter (Jared); and his great grandchildren, Juliana Hayes, Jesalyn Hayes, Jordyn Hayes, Jackson Hayes, Hayden Phillips, Carson Phillips, Emmalyne Morris, Zeke Morris, Kyndal Carter, Korbyn Carter, Nellah Carter, Amelia Dykes, Annie Dykes and Andrew Paul Dykes.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lathan Funeral Home (17484 Jordan St, Chatom, AL 36518). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
