She was predeceased by: her husband Henry Floyd Lathan; and her siblings, Emmett Wood, Oscar Denny Wood, Floyd Wood, Ulas Wood, Jewel Wood Mosley, Ada Mae Wood Dearmon and Gladys Wood Douglas.

She is survived by: her children, Betty Jean Loper, Mary Lou Miller (Terry), Norman Lathan (Ella Mae) and Imogene Lathan Odom. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 16 great, great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
