He was predeceased by: his wife Elise Thompson; his grandparents, Beatrice Thompson, John Lewis, Mary McPhearson and Myrmon Robertson Jr.; and his great-grandparents, Robert, Jane Dahlberg, Bud and Leona Thompson.
He is survived by: his parents, Carl Wayne Thompson Sr. and Suzanne Thompson; his siblings, John Claud Owen and Lori Thompson Johnson; his nieces, Stella Owen and Kaitlin Johnson; his nephew Kody Johnson; his aunts and uncles, Nelson Thompson (Levern), James McPhearson, John McPhearson (Nancy), Mary Jane Watson (Rush), Sherri McIlwain, Debbie Pierson (Marty) and Joan Doby (Tom); and his great-uncles and great-aunts, Sally Dahlberg Knight, Elma Heathcoe, Edith Tate, Francis Ledbetter, Jerry Thompson and Dean Thompson. He is also survived by his family, friends.
